Job Title: HVAC Journeyman Mechanic
Job Description
We are looking for an experienced HVAC-R technician to join our installation and repair team. As an HVAC-R technician, you will be responsible for processing and completing work orders, installing new refrigeration systems, troubleshooting mechanical failures, and performing equipment maintenance. You may also be required to advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.
Responsibilities

• Process and complete work orders for refrigeration systems.
• Install new refrigeration systems.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures in refrigeration units.
• Perform regular maintenance on refrigeration equipment and components.
• Advise on equipment upgrades and alternate cooling units.
• Perform installation and repair work under general supervision using the tools and techniques of refrigeration technology.
• Work on ice machines, freezers, and CRAC (computer room air conditioners).

Essential Skills

• Knowledge of refrigeration theory, techniques, codes, procedures, and materials.
• Knowledge of safety rules, procedures, and practices, including the proper use of safety equipment as defined by OSHA and industry standards.
• Ability to apply refrigeration and safety knowledge effectively.
• Proficiency in using tools and equipment safely.
• Strong problem-solving and information management skills.
• Proficient written and verbal English communication skills at a high school graduate level.
• Ability to identify and avoid hazards as indicated by warning labels, signage, lights, and other warning devices.
• Ability to perform work within reasonable lengths of time as measured against trade, industry, or engineered standards.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Journeyman certification in HVAC.
• Experience in facilities maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Experience with commercial buildings.
• Skills in mechanical, installation, and electrical work.
• High school diploma.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $34.64 - $37.32/hr.
