Position Responsibilities:

- Use your extensive understanding of how businesses operate to determine, scrutinize and diagnose business trends, and to ensure successful delivery of business improvement initiatives.
- Charged with leading the adoption and implementation of people-centered programs, which may include nutrition standards, promotion of animal companions, seasonal marketing campaigns, and top-notch services, in order to exceed set sales targets.
- Shifting the focus on sales tactics to encompass an all-encompassing Omni Channel approach catering to guest needs, like offering veterinary services, loyalty programs, services, BOPUS, Endless Aisle, and Repeat Delivery, among others.
- The Leader on Duty for the Pet Care Center is in charge of supporting the proper execution of company initiatives, policies, and procedures, as well as the training and communication necessary for their successful implementation.
- Ensure that all register transactions are conducted with the goal of delivering a positive guest experience.
- Demonstrate the selling model through your actions and offer help to customers when necessary.
- In order to ensure an optimal operating condition for the Pet Care Center, this job requires the management of the workforce responsible for the recruitment, selection, training, mentoring, assessment, recognition, performance evaluation, and development. Additionally, they are answerable for implementing effective selling strategies and customer service practices.
- When writing the weekly schedule, make sure to incorporate Petco selling behaviors to increase sales floor coverage and enhance guest engagement.
- Create an environment that fosters a constructive leadership culture of teamwork, collaboration, and inclusiveness by setting clear objectives and providing unambiguous direction that shows an unwavering devotion to people and pets.
- The Pet Care Center's operations team's partner strives to maintain brand principles at all times and keep the place replenished continually.
- The Petco Leadership Expectations are to be displayed and promoted by Solution Managers.
Other Essential Duties:
- Set the standard for leadership and sales strategies to help the Pet Care Center's partners and associates. Show proactivity in reinforcing a positive business climate that motivates teams to pursue company objectives. Present a compelling case for change and expansion.
- Implement Safety Measures: As Petco advocates for safety, it is essential to enforce the company's safety standards, procedures, and policies. In light of this, any new regulations and guidelines must be adequately incorporated in the Pet Care Center.
- Establish an environment that values the contributions of team members and openly appreciates their ideas and input. By doing so, partners are motivated to take on tasks with a more proactive approach, resulting in better outcomes for all.

Supervisory Responsibility:
- An individual is required to possess a high school diploma or its equivalent; exposure to some business or management courses at the college level is preferred.
- The individual selected for this role must have at least 2 years of management experience or its equivalent, although possessing 3 or more years of experience is ideal.
- You cannot drive a motor vehicle if you lack a valid license.
- To be considered for this role, applicants must possess noteworthy skills in communication, organization, and computer operation, specifically, familiarity with programs like Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other relevant applications.
- This person demonstrates exceptional proficiency in general business practices and basic financial acumen, coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and a keen focus on cultivating personnel and satisfying guests.
- A competent candidate should have the ability to exemplify outstanding customer service and the capacity to coach others.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- The direct oversight of the solutions LOD, generalists, specialists, grooming salon leaders, and dog trainers falls under the responsibility of the solutions manager.
- In order to make an impact on the guest strategies of Vetco and Vet Hospital, the Solutions Manager will work closely with both organizations.
- Identify and hire sales-focused professionals who can contribute to the growth and success of the business, while also retaining existing workforce.
Work Environment:
Weekend availability and support for peak sales hours are necessary for this role. The job mostly requires indoor duties, but certain responsibilities such as stocking inventory, assisting customers, and handling bank deposits may require going outside of the Pet Care Center.

In addition to interacting regularly with the public and other PETCO departments, this position may also require external communication, such as coordinating merchandise returns or organizing vaccination clinics.
