Class A Company Driver

Job Summary:

Responsibilities of the CDL Truck Driver include skillfully operating heavy-duty trucks and trailers, executing regular vehicle assessments, complying with DOT regulations, and representing Holcim with professionalism and outstanding customer service throughout all interactions.

Responsibilities:

• Safely deliver transportation materials and heavy machinery to designated job sites.
• Properly secure equipment during the loading and unloading of materials for transport.
• Inform dispatch of any changes in route status or job updates as they occur.
• Perform inspections before departure and upon arrival to ensure that the vehicle meets safety requirements and is compliant.
• Ensure your vehicle stays clean, monitor fluid levels, maintain tire pressure, and promptly fix any minor issues that may occur.
• Follow DOT guidelines by maintaining precise driving logs.
• Ensure superior customer service and cultivate beneficial relationships with both clients and contractors.
• Assist in carrying out miscellaneous duties and responsibilities as required by leadership.
• Always adhere rigorously to health, safety, and environmental protocols, which involve the mandatory utilization of required PPE.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Sustaining an untarnished driving history is important for a Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR).
• DOT physical certification.
• A high school diploma or GED qualification is a basic educational achievement.
• A minimum of 12 months of driving or related heavy equipment transport experience is a prerequisite.
• Individuals with a background in construction, contracting, or equipment transportation are preferred for this role.
• Competence in handling basic mathematical equations and displaying efficiency in navigating directions.
• Operating equipment in the past can be seen as a positive attribute.
• Strong focus on maintaining safety standards and regulatory adherence.
