Job Description:

We are seeking individuals with experience in the Aerospace industry to work as Aerospace Production Inspector in our Aerospace Manufacturing Facility.

Pay Rate: $20-$26/hour

The work shift is set from 6:00 in the morning until 2:30 in the afternoon, Monday to Friday, demanding the employee's presence for 8 hours every day of the week

Job Overview:

One of the critical functions of the Quality Inspector is performing inspections to ensure compliance with quality standards. The inspector carries out a range of inspections, including receiving inspections and final product inspections. Additionally, the inspector checks completed paperwork and measures the dimensions of production parts and assemblies using hand tools like micrometers, scales, and calipers.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute work instructions and procedures in line with the protocols established for quality management.
  • Maintain adherence to established procedures and guidelines, while ensuring that any quality concerns from internal or external stakeholders are promptly resolved.
  • Undertake necessary assessments such as receiving, first article, in-process, and final inspections in compliance with the standards.
  • Ensure timely production of mandatory reports, validate the accuracy of information, keep track of metrics, and propose enhancements to existing systems.
  • Verify the products received to ensure that they satisfy the specifications stated in the purchase orders and adhere to the needs of the customer.
  • Guarantee that the assemblies meet all of the customer's needs and stipulations.
  • Calibration checking is crucial to carry out before making use of instruments for product acceptance.
  • Observe and report deviations from required specifications and tolerances in keeping with approved protocols.
  • Record and document inspections thoroughly while completing reports on inspections.
  • Develop thorough PPAP submissions for manufacturing and distribution per customer requirements.
  • Produce AS9102 compliant certification packages for FAIRs as necessary.
  • Documenting Inspection Results: After each inspection, inspectors need to document the results using the designated software. This includes capturing measurements, photographs, and other relevant data to ensure accurate reporting.

Qualifications:

  • A critical ability for excellent customer service is the aptitude to comprehend and satisfy customer specifications and requests.
  • The ideal candidate must possess a thorough understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerances (GD&T) and must be able to read and interpret engineering drawings with ease
  • Able to proficiently operate and manipulate a range of measuring equipment, such as scales, calipers, micrometers, manual tools, rulers, pin gauges, radius gauges, and comparators.
  • Remarkable attention to details, exemplary organizational abilities, proficient time management expertise, and successful follow-up aptitude.
  • AS9102 is a mandatory requirement in the aerospace sector, making proficiency in this area an essential skill for quality management professionals.
  • Overview of FAI's, DIP's, and Net Inspect and their Significance.
  • Mastery of Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Advanced PDF software is indispensable for this role, as it demands exceptional computer skills.
  • Having the expertise to communicate eloquently and courteously using different communication mediums, such as the phone, email, or in-person contact.
  • The minimum educational requirement for this role is a High School Diploma or GED.
