Manufacturing Technician

Job Description:

As a manufacturing technician, your main tasks will include operating and maintaining production on the machines as directed. You will be responsible for understanding the different types of raw materials and their appropriate manufacturing locations for utilization. Monitoring machine operations to detect any malfunctions, checking product quality, and reporting any issues or safety concerns to the shift supervisor are also integral to this role.

Responsibilites:

• Operate equipment in order to accurately utilize raw ingredient materials in a precise manner to create
• flavor product
• Ensure understanding of all safety, quality and operational procedures relevant to the role
• Utilize tools and electronic/computer systems for compounding and container filling
• Utilize computer, scan gun, or other tools and processes to correctly match ingredients to shop orders
• Follow production, safety, quality, and operational procedures to verify and record information during
• production process
• Ensure proper ventilation and use of safety equipment
• Develop understanding of Quality Control requirements for sampling, product testing, swabbing of
• equipment, etc. and follow policies surrounding Quality Control needs
• Perform other duties as assigned
• Training will be 5am to 1:30pm for 2- 4 weeks - Actual shift time is 8am to 4:30pm

Work Environment:

The Charleston plant is a brand-new facility located downtown along the Cooper River. It offers a clean work environment that is not climate controlled. This role requires a rotating schedule where you will work 15 days out of the entire month. Your work week will alternate between 48 hours one week and 36 hours the next. Shifts rotate between day and night (7am-7pm/7pm-7am). Every 4 weeks, the shift changes from day to night. Expect a schedule of 7 days on, followed by 7 days off.
